There is so much hype around these days about being, giving and achieving 110% (or more!), but is that really what you want or need? Do you want (or need) to work 70+ hours per week and be at peak performance 24/7? Do you really even need that 6+ figure income for happiness?

If you are open to the idea that there is more out there, I recommend starting your journey by checking out Seth Godin at https://www.sethgodin.com/

I definitely recommend subscribing to his blog and thinking carefully about his posts. He regularly provides provoking insights into providing quality and integrity to your customers. Seth’s podcasts and TED talks are also inspirational.

If you are into selling or marketing, also check out Seth’s book “Permission Marketing: Turning Strangers into Friends and Friends into Customers”

As Seth explains “Whether it is the TV commercial that breaks into our favorite program, or the telemarketing phone call that disrupts a family dinner, traditional advertising is based on the hope of snatching our attention away from whatever we are doing” This is Interruption Marketing, and, as companies are discovering, it no longer works.

Marketing is only one aspect of Seth’s arena, since he has a background in philosophy and computer science and he can definitely be depended upon for regular thought provoking posts.

Cheers,

David.
